Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohhrim

Fan screening event for the animated movie "Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohhrim"

Bengaluru Anime Club (BAC) hosted an exclusive fan screening of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. Set prior to the events of the main books, this is a fresh take on the story of Helm Hammerhand of Rohan from legendary anime director Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex, Moribito, Eden of the East).

The screening took place on December 15th at INOX Garuda Mall, in collaboration with AniSync and PVR INOX. Warner Bros. offered posters to the attendees, who numbered 55+. Local Nagatoro-san and BAC admin Mahi interviewed the attendees, and Futtaim conducted a Lord of the Rings quiz, with two teams of pairs taking home two copies of the official War of the Rohirrim art-book and Gacha balls respectively, sponsored by AniSync.

We thank AniSync, PVR INOX, Warner Bros. and all our dear guests who joined us in enjoying this anime addition to Tolkien’s legendarium. We also thank our volunteers Gaurav, Priyanka, Rolan and Saurev, photographer Nabz, cosplayers Sheetal (Eowyn) and Mahi (Nagatoro), and our events admins Astrop, Shreyas, Futtaim and Dx.
