Cosplay Show @ Japan Food Fest

A cosplay show in collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru, on the backdrop of Japan Food Fest

With enthusiastic support from The Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru, BAC hosted a Cosplay Show as part of the Japan Food Festival on November 10, 2024.

The festival celebrated the food culture and flavours of Japan featuring around 20 Japanese restaurants and food companies. The guests had a chance to enjoy the cuisine with the lineup ranging from Sushi to Japanese alcohol. There were stalls selling Japanese groceries, Karaage, Manju, Onigiri, Ebi Fry, Katsu Curry, Kakigori, various types of noodles like Ramen and Soba and delicious desserts like Daifuku and Warabimochi. To provide relief from the heat, there were innovative drinks which brought a unique spin to traditional flavours like Matcha and Mugicha. The event also had the attendees witness a glimpse of the food and drink culture of Japan with a Fish Filleting showcase for Sushi and a Chanoyu ceremony. The vibrant event brought an end with the magic of cosplay in front of a lively audience of about 300 people.

The event ended with 20 cosplayers from BAC taking the stage, each embodying iconic characters from anime, manga, and gaming. From the moment they stepped on the stage, they captivated the crowd with passionate performances. Each cosplayer recited famous lines with charm, striking signature poses and mimicking the unique mannerisms of their characters, transporting the audience straight into the worlds they represented. The crowd was mesmerized, cheering for their favorite characters and admiring the costumes. The energy of the evening was contagious, with every cosplayer and attendee feeling the camaraderie and shared excitement.

The cosplay event was organised by the BAC Events Team (Dx, Astrop, Futtaim, Shreyas, Nivi, and KD) and our volunteers (Niharika, Jagdeep, Siddharth, Priyanka, Kartik, Kushal, Varsha, and Saurev) in coordination with Meghana-san from the Japanese Embassy. And the following cosplayers participated in the event - Yoblaze, Kevin, STG, Salini, Shardul, Suruchi, Christina, RKD, Aquib, Yashwitha, Vasu, Sheetal, Prisha, Devika, Daisy, Pratya, Leonora, Mai, Alyie, Kiki.
