Servant × Service, Sakura Quest
Sakura Quest
If you're a fan of young adult-themed stories, Sakura Quest is definitely something you should check out. This 25-episode original anime from P.A. Works centers on Yoshino Koharu, a young woman whose dream is to land a job in Tokyo. However, after facing a series of rejections, she unexpectedly receives an offer to become the "Queen" of the Manoyama village tourism board. What follows is the beginning of a unique journey, where Yoshino, along with her four "ministers," sets out to revitalize the so-called "Chupacabra Kingdom".

At its core, Sakura Quest explores the lives and aspirations of its five main characters as they work together to solve the various issues facing the residents of Manoyama. The series strikes a delicate balance between addressing the village’s struggles and delving into the complex, layered stories of its characters. Whether it’s the main cast or the people they encounter along the way, every character has something meaningful to share.

The true strength of Sakura Quest lies in its characters and the realism it adds to them. The show excels in capturing their growth, their differences, and the patience required to navigate both personal and collective challenges. The characters are very much relatable as the struggles and the growth they go through are something that any real person would face in a completely new environment. It's a heartfelt exploration of perseverance and change. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys character-driven narratives with a touch of realism added to it.
Servant × Service
If you're looking for a lighthearted slice-of-life comedy with workplace dynamics and budding romance, then Servant × Service is the anime for you. Set in a government office in Hokkaido, the series follows the everyday lives of a few new and established civil servants.

The anime focuses on character interactions, and the humor that arises from their eccentric personalities. It shows the relatable awkwardness of office interactions, the slow burn of developing friendships, and the little quirks that make the characters interesting and likeable. While not exactly a laugh-out-loud type of comedy, the anime has a lot of witty wordplay, office pranks, and recurring gags. Animated by studio A-1 Pictures, there are 13 episodes and it's a complete adaptation of its 4-koma manga.
